The Three Pillars of a Strong Paparazzi Business

The Three Pillars of a Strong Paparazzi Business
Paparazzi – and each Consultant’s individual business – was built on three pillars of success: Accessorize. Invite. Become. As you have parties and share the jewelry(ACCESSORIZE), you will inevitably have the opportunity to INVITE people to shop, host, or join your team. This will allow you to BECOME a Sponsor, a fashion Consultant, and a leader. Excluding any one of these from our business will limit our potential and will result in lost momentum. It’s also critical to remember that these pillars do not represent a lineal progression. Once you become a Sponsor, that doesn’t mean that you stop throwing parties or inviting people to experience what Paparazzi offers. A truly successful Consultant incorporates each one of these pillars into their daily business practices.A farm is a perfect example of how applying basic principles on a consistent basis can generate some amazing results. In the spring, a new crop is planted. Throughout the growing season, the crop is cared for by water, fertilizer, and daily attention.  At the end of the growing season, it is time to harvest.  The harvest allows you to sell the fruits of your labor and then reinvest for the next season’s crop.  These same concepts apply whether you’re working in a small backyard garden or managing endless acres of land.

Consider this: If a farmer gets tired of planting new seeds and only wants to water their plants and harvest, it won’t work.  If all the farmer does is plant new seeds, but never waters, there will be no harvest.  And if the farmer only shows up to harvest, without preparing for a new crop in the spring, their business will be incredibly short-lived.

Your Paparazzi business is just like a farm!   Without parties, you will not have a team or Hostesses to tend to or a profit to benefit from.  Without caring for your current team, you will not have a team to enjoy.  And, if you only sit back and revel in your team’s efforts, your success as a leader will quickly fade.  Continued success requires continued effort in each pillar of Paparazzi.

There are countless resources available that can help you maximize the three pillars of Paparazzi.  Here are three of the most helpful tools that have been developed with your success in mind:
  • The Party Checklist is a result of feedback from each of the Founders and countless Consultants on what makes a party successful. It includes pre-party planning, Hostess preparation ideas, party supply necessities, and post-party wrap up. Don’t host a party without it!
  • The New Consultant Checklist allows you to help your newest team member get started on the right path. This checklist provides you, their Sponsor, key talking points that will assist you in building strong working relationships with your team right out of the gate.
  • The Leadership Worksheet is a great tool for you to keep a snapshot of your business right in front of you. Use it to set goals for yourself or your teammates and then track the progress. The formula found under the ‘Parties’ section of the worksheet is a must have. It puts the goals that you set into achievable numbers.  Your business will never be the same!
All of these Business Accessories are available for download in the ‘Checklists & Worksheets’ folder in the Resources section of your Back Office.

10 Tips for Using Your Jewelry Display Tote

8/26/2019

  1. Focus on variety, not volume. Include pieces from each Paparazzi Collection, long and short necklaces, a range of colors, and some of each metal finish.
  2. Keep every pocket full.  Just as empty hooks on a pegboard tell a customer your inventory has been picked over, an empty pocket makes the remaining accessories look less popular.
  3. Let the jewelry steal the spotlight. The bag was designed with a black background on purpose!  Avoid the urge to add colorful backdrops or distracting patterns, as they tend to cheapen the jewelry.  The accessories will always attract customers on their own.
  4. Put Blockbusters at center stage. These statement pieces are bestsellers for a reason! Let them do the legwork by keeping them front-and-center in one of the larger pockets.
  5. Pack some party essentials. Throw in some sales bags, your Customer Loyalty Cards, extra cash to make change and a small handheld mirror.  For more ideas, review the Party Checklist in your Paparazzi Party Planner!
  6. Wear what you’re selling. You are a walking advertisement for your Paparazzi business, which means you should always carry duplicates of the accessories you’re wearing!
  7. Cut down on clutter. Your Jewelry Display Tote should remain a tool to professionally present the products you offer. Keep it clean and organized, and avoid turning your bag into a catch-all for items better fit for your purse.
  8. Carry it everywhere.  Yes, everywhere!  You can’t sell something you don’t have with you!
  9. Add an eye-catching insert. Turn one of the pockets into a small billboard by using one of the printable inserts from your Back Office.
  10. Don't forget your business cards! Ensure your newest customers know where they can feed their $5 habit anytime by including a business card with every purchase. Don’t forget to invite them to your next party!

Account Maintenance Reminder

8/26/2019

Did you know that in order to maintain your Paparazzi account and your status as a Paparazzi Consultant, you must purchase 200 PV (or 100 accessories) every twelve months?  Maintaining this requirement allows you to continue to participate in the Paparazzi Compensation Plan, bring home instant Retail Profit and purchase new inventory at wholesale pricing.

The 200 PV requirement is evaluated on a rolling twelve month calendar and includes a cumulative total of all PV purchases made over the previous twelve months.  Once a cumulative total of 200 PV is no longer met, the Consultant will be notified and given a 30-day window to purchase the needed PV.

Here's an example:
Picture
In the above example, this Consultant will maintain their Consultant status until April 2013 when their cumulative PV total drops below the 200 PV requirement.  This Consultant will then have until the end of April (30 days) to purchase the needed amount of PV to maintain her Consultant status.

On March 1, 2013 those Consultants who have not met the 200 PV requirement were notified of their account status and will have until the end of March to purchase any needed PV.  If the necessary PV is not purchased, the Consultant’s account will be terminated.  This same system will be repeated each month; with notifications being sent at the beginning of the month and account terminations being processed towards the end of the month.

To learn more about account termination, read through section 3.7 of the Paparazzi Policies and Procedures.  If you have questions about the status of your account or would like further clarification, please contact our Consultant Support team at (855) 697-2727 or via email at  support@paparazziccessories.com.

Party Tips from the Top

Last fall, we had the privilege of hosting our 2018 Life of the Party members with Diamond Access and above for an exclusive Las Vegas getaway. During our time together, we had the unique opportunity to speak with many of these Paparazzi powerhouses. We wanted to know how they were finding success, what tips they had for other Paparazzi Consultants, and what they could now identify as a hindrance to their progress that they wish they could have avoided. While much of the advice they shared was centered around live streaming parties, many of their tips can be applied to all Paparazzi parties and live events. So, whether you have eyes set on one of the crowns reserved for our highest Life of the Party members, or you are looking for some advice on how to take your live parties to the next level, we hope you’ll find what you’re looking for in the tips below!
  • Attitude Is Everything! If you want your customers to keep coming back for more $5 fun, you need them have a good time at your party. The best way for that to happen is for you to show your audience that you love what you do. Whether you’re hosting for a party of five or five hundred, your energy should be contagious! If you’re hosting a live streaming party, play the video back and listen to the tone of your voice and watch your facial expressions. Do you truly look like you’re enjoying yourself?
  • Maximize Your Efforts! There is a famous saying among Paparazzi Consultants: the more you stock, the more you sell. While variety is crucial, don’t overlook the importance of carrying multiples of one piece. If you’re putting the effort in to showcase a gorgeous necklace, why not sell five or ten of the piece instead of one? Stocking up on multiples is an easy way to increase sales with minimal effort.
  • Just Jump In! Going live for a streaming party can be terrifying at first, but we have yet to meet a Consultant who has regretted their decision to give it a try. It can be awkward to talk to a camera alone, so don’t be afraid to practice. Put photos on the wall behind the camera to help you feel like you have a live audience, write a script if you need to, and RELAX. Your customers want to create a genuine connection with YOU – flaws, faux pas, and all! Forget about perfection and focus on fun!
  • Always Be Better! If there is one trait about leaders that could be deemed most admirable, it’s their ability to learn from their experiences. There is no such thing as failure – only opportunities to learn. After each party, evaluate what worked well and what you could improve upon. This could be organizing, invoicing, lighting, displays, upselling, the invitation process… the list goes on. Self-reflection is important, and learning what your unique customer base needs from you is something only YOU can discover.  Seek out at least one aspect of your party protocol that you can improve upon after each party you throw.
Your role as a Paparazzi Consultant is not something we take lightly. We hope you realize the difference you are making in the lives of others every day and that you take a moment to realize how the confidence that your customers get from interacting with you at each party you throw is truly changing the world, $5 at a time.

Accessorize. Invite. Become.

Turning Habits into Consistent Success

8/7/2019

According to science, it can take up to 66 days or 66 tries to form a new habit. Habits can be anything from making healthy choices to daily routines. Some habits form naturally, while others take time to establish a consistent practice. Humans are habitual creatures which prompts us to return to our favorite diner, shopping mall, or car mechanic because we know what to expect. We return to these businesses time and time again because they have consistently provided us with satisfying results.

As a Consultant, it is important to be consistent with not only your team members, but your customers as well. By consistently creating a schedule and sticking to it, we create positive habits that positively impact our business. Being consistent is not only a personal ambition, but also an underrated business tool that will establish you as a leader. Below are a few ways to help you be consistent when it comes to building your team and your clientele.

Being Consistent with Your Team:
  • Honoring Commitments: If you have committed to help a team member with an upcoming show or home party, then it is important to honor those commitments by showing up and doing your part. As a leader, there is no greater tool than a team member knowing they can count on you and find support in their upline.
  • Follow Up: When developing leaders within your team, it is crucial that you hold up your end of the agreements you make. If you promise to call and follow up on a goal that was set, make sure you actually call and follow up. If you don’t uphold your end of the bargain, you can’t expect your team members to uphold theirs.
  • Keep Appointments and Stick to Schedules: If you have made it part of your schedule to have a regular team meeting or training call, then be consistent and maintain that tradition! Consistently keeping in contact with your team builds a stronger team!
  • Always Have a Backup: We all know emergencies happen, but that doesn’t have to stop us from preparing for those times that life decides to throw us a curveball. Always have a second-in-command who is trained and knowledgeable in your business that can step in and assist when needed. You can also pre-record training sessions that you can share if you’re unable to make the regularly scheduled appointment.
Being Consistent with Your Customers:
  • Make Every Response, a Rapid Response: Make it a habit to respond quickly and promptly to customer needs and questions. Taking the time to make a customer feel special creates a loyal customer.
  • Have Regular Hours of Operation: Maintaining consistent hours of operation, establishes a professional and reliable routine that makes our customers feel satisfied.
  • Create an Organized Online Presence: We often forget what a valuable and accessible tool social media has become! In both our personal and business lives, it is important to keep a structured schedule; the same is true for social media. Create a schedule pertaining to online parties, posts, or reminders and stick to them! Perhaps every Monday post new inventory with your friends or every Friday, throw an online party. Keep consistent and your customers will consistently come back.
Being consistent with your own business practices can teach you a lot about your personal Paparazzi business. When you incorporate a new technique, do itconsistently for a minimum of three weeks to a month in order to get an accurate gauge on its efficacy. If you decide to make phone calls every week, you can’t see the effects until you’ve repeated the behavior consistently!

Big businesses around the world have built their empires simply by being consistent.Their customers know what to expect and those satisfying results keep them coming back for more. By creating habits and transforming those habits into consistencies, we not only build our team and clientele, but we also build our empires!
